These roses are grown for both strength and beauty. We celebrate what’s in our nature with this collection named for great Canadian natural phenomena.

I couldn't resist this spectacular flower! 2017 not only marks Canada's 150th birthday, but I'm also getting married this year! I'm so excited to watch the flower bloom for years to come, and remind me of an important year, both in my life, and in Canadian history.
Celebrating Canada's 150 with 49th Parallel
After learning about the Canadian Shield rose this March Break at Canada Blooms, I knew that my students would love to learn more about the science behind this amazing rose!
At our Canada 150 celebration last week, students had the opportunity to learn more about the rose and plant one here at HNMCS!
Members of the Eco-Club were so excited to get out and plant this beautiful flower in honour of our country's birthday. Hopefully it takes root and grows for the next 150 years! Can't wait to see the beautiful blooms!
I saw this rose and knew I wanted it to celebrate this special year, so it is planted at the centre and front of my garden at Fairbank Lake, we are 45 minutes west of Sudbury.
Happy birthday Canada
Don't forget to post a photo and/or story about your new rose.
